D-Mannose - The girl's best friend

D-mannose is a natural simple sugar (monosaccharide) that is excellent for treating bladder infections. It is found in fruits such as cranberries and oranges.
It is often extracted from beech or birch wood.
D-mannose is about 50x more concentrated than cranberries.
However, it is also a natural substance and is therefore produced by our bodies themselves.
Scientific studies have shown that it even seems to work in a similar way to antibiotic treatment, but with fewer side effects.
The advantage is that it does not raise blood sugar levels, as is the case with glucose. This makes it suitable for diabetics.
Something that no medicine cabinet should be without.

Help - how to be healthy?

The current issue of food prices is making it increasingly difficult to eat and live healthily. For many, this also means additional stress.
I often get the question: "How can I afford all of this?" . A topic that I have grappled with.
I have listed some tips and tricks below that I hope will help you make an informed purchasing decision in the supermarket:
1) Buy in bulk: think of carrots for example (you can chop these up and freeze them)
2) Buy on sale (and then buy some more of them)
3) Sometimes there are reduced foods that have an expiration date on the same day or the day after. These are also often discounted.
4) Sometimes frozen vegetables or vegetables in jars are cheaper than fresh vegetables, so feel free to take a look in this section.
5) For those who like it - and I am a big fan of it - plant a vegetable garden. Boiling vegetables and pasta sauces, for example, can provide additional vegetable intake
6) Consciously choose a vegetarian recipe (no ready meals, just lots of vegetables)
7) Buy from the farmer or at the market, sometimes there are good deals
8) Eat with the seasons - you don't necessarily have to buy strawberries in December!
9) Be aware of what you spend money on in the supermarket and what you don't. So set priorities. Do you want those cookies for 3 euros and therefore forego the healthier options? Make it clear to yourself that supermarket marketing is so well thought out - that you'll reach for the cookies anyway.
10) Don't go shopping when you're hungry, instead make a shopping list and only buy what's on it.
